Live Training on “Building DevOps Pipeline in AWS”
July 5, 2020
In the past few years, DevOps has gained immense popularity among IT decision-makers throughout the world. They have realized its true potential and all the benefits. Really, the ability of DevOps in automation and cross-departmental collaboration has taken the entire world of software development by storm. However, still there are a lot of software developers who are not aware of all the nitty-gritty of a DevOps pipeline. It might be because of various concepts that are involved in the DevOps pipelines which are often not well defined and remain fuzzy for many.
On the other hand, AWS is one of the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud computing platforms for individuals, governments, and companies. When it comes to DevOps, many developers consider AWS mainly because it provides services & tools that can automate manual tasks, help teams manage complex environments at scale, and keep engineers in control of the high velocity that is enabled by DevOps.
Considering this, we have organized a live training session on 5th July, wherein you will get trained for building the DevOps pipeline in AWS! This webinar will help you in understanding and working with various AWS tools that you can leverage for building the pipeline. In the end, we have also included an activity, wherein you will create a fully automated pipeline to deploy, manage, and scale the AWS environment. So, don’t forget to join this live training to build your DevOps pipeline from scratch.
High performing enterprises have used DevOps transformations to improve efficiency, increase delivery velocity, and reduce time to market. And when it comes to cloud computing, AWS provides a set of services or tools that helps the user to reliably and rapidly build and deliver products using DevOps & AWS practices.
All these services simplify the managing of infrastructure, deploying code, and monitoring the application and infrastructure performance. Anuj will begin with a basic introduction of DevOps, AWS & its essential services and tools. He will help you in understanding how you can leverage various AWS tools for your DevOps pipeline.
According to AWS, CodePipeline is a continuous integration and continuous delivery service. It helps developers to automate the pipelines for a reliable and fast app and infrastructure updates. Every time, when there is a change in code, it automates the build, test & deployment phase of the release process as per the defined release model. This really helps significantly in delivering any feature or update reliably and at high speed.
In this part of the training, you will learn how to use AWS CodePipeline for creating a setup that will allow you to automatically test and promote infrastructure changes to production. Moreover, you will also learn how to integrate AWS CodePipeline with any 3rd party services like GitHub or with your own custom plugin.
Apart from CodePipeline, AWS provides numerous other tooling and infrastructure resources for DevOps practitioners. These include CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeStar, ECS, Lambda, CloudFormation, OpsWorks, Config, CloudTrail, CodeCommit & others for different purposes. These help in building, testing, deployment, configuration management, monitoring, usage tracking, and other tasks.
During this section, Anuj will give you in-depth insights into certain important tools like AWS CloudFormation, OpsWorks & AWS Config. It will help you with resource provisioning, on-instance configuration, monitoring, and compliance.
Before moving onto the Q/A session, you will be also testing your knowledge by creating a fully automated DevOps pipeline to deploy, manage, and scale the AWS environment. All and all, this training session will help you to discover the benefits of DevOps pipeline, using AWS for creating a DevOps pipeline, orchestrate changes to infrastructure, and get real-time reporting for compliance.
